Improving portrait skills
Hi I’m wondering if you could share resources on where might I be able to improve my portrait painting skills online? What online schools would you recommend? I feel like my proportions are always off and I don’t particularly understand the form and anatomy of the face. I recently tried loomis but found it reallly hard Thank you in advance!
Offered gig, in the middle of negotiations
I am in the process of getting my first wedding gig for live painting. She asked if I was open to do 25% deposit, 25% during the week of the wedding and the balance after I was finished with her painting. I responded that I normally request 50% upfront. I already gave her a generous discount beforehand. She also asked to see my work before we do the agreement. Does anyone have a template that works well in case we sign today? Thanks!
Community update
Hi all, We're going to pause the weekly calls. Honest reason: attendance has been low, and rather than keep a slot in the diary that isn't serving you, we'd rather put those hours into the platform and into new course content in the community. That said, if the calls weren't working because of the timing or the format rather than the idea, tell us, we're happy to bring them back in a different shape, or run them on demand when there's something worth getting on a call about. In the meantime, we'll keep posting new lessons here and keep shipping improvements to theweddingpainters.com. Kind regards, Huw
Great First Call, Thanks to those who joined :)
Was great to have a quick chat with some of you on the call about what you would like to work on and your ambitions to become full time artists!
