Sharing what I do in group settings
I was recently at a networking event with other professional women. We went around the room sharing what we do, and as usual I was feeling awkward and self conscious. I generally don't have this feeling when I am speaking privately to 1 or 2 women.
I was really upset with myself, comparing myself to other women who were so calm. Later thinking about it, I realized that it was nervous system misregulation, and that it may be related to past memories of feeling judged when I spoke in public (in the class room in grade school).
Any tips on how to get over that ?
