Guest Call for All Members, Mushroom of the Month, & Thursday Q&A back to 6pm
Greetings everyone! I am excited to announce that this coming Sunday, we will be having a free call for anyone in our community with Stacey Estabrook, a certified mushroom forager and cultivator. Stacey will be sharing about her work in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate NY and will be offering cultivation/foraging tips. Even if you are not in the northeast, you can still learn a lot from the principles we will be discussing. The call will be over zoom 5/3/26, 11 am est. The link is posted below. You can check out Stacey's work here: www.flxmushrooms.com I've decided to shift the Mushroom of the Week to Mushroom of the Month but will continue to move forward with Mushroom Mondays where we breakdown a particular mushroom and each week we shift the focus: beginning with an introduction, practical uses, integration, and community. Check in each Monday for mushroom offerings. This format will begin next week, beginning in May, we will get into it! I have to change the Thursday Q&A calls back to 6pm est, we tried a few other times but for my schedule, it is just better to do it at 6pm. If it is difficult to make the call at 6, just pop on when you can! Joining late is absolutely fine with me. The Q&A sessions are more like coaching calls where I share my growing process and can help you with yours. This workshop has evolved to be a living container that is ongoing beyond the initial 5 months that I planned for. If you'd like to learn more about this, just ask. Have a beautiful week y'all, I look forward to connecting more and sharing the mycelial love. Lion’s mane mushrooms & monotubs
Hey y’all, I had to dismantle my shower fruiting chamber because my MIL is visiting & needs the guest bathroom so I put everything into monotubs. This is great if you don’t have a lot of space because the tubs can also be stacked. So now they are just hanging out in my office. I’ve got my first lion’s mane mushrooms beginning to fruit and also a second flush of oysters. The shiitakes are taking their time. Here is also a picture of my grain spawn tent, I’ve been making so many jars this past week. Hopefully I’ll be up to my eyeballs in a wide variety of mushrooms soon. 🤩✨🍄‍🟫😆 Instead of a 5 month container for Mushrooms 101, it’s evolving into a living workshop that will be continuously open, with live coaching calls and me documenting my growing journey. You can join at anytime and don’t have to feel like you’re missing out on anything. Mush love y’all!

Starting Mushroom Mondays
Celebrating a new mushroom each week, I will create a classroom for all of our mushrooms! MUSHROOM MONDAY: King Blue Oyster 💫🍄‍🟫 King oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus eryngii) are highly nutritious, low-fat, and low-calorie, offering significant health benefits, including boosting the immune system through high beta-glucan content and supporting heart health by reducing cholesterol. They serve as a meaty, sustainable plant-based protein source with potential anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antioxidant effects. This is a great beginner friendly strain to cultivate!
