Funeral Today.
My wife’s granny passed away last week. She was 98 years old. She had been ready to go for the last several years and talked about it often.
A couple months back the dr. Said she was ready for hospice. She actually got excited. Turns out she believed that “hospice” meant they turned the lights out for you. 😆
When she learned that’s not exactly what hospice was all about she accepted that and was pleasant with everyone all the way up until she went to sleep for the last week until she eventually passed.
The hospice nurses were at the funeral and they had all grown to love Lorena aka granny. She was always smiling and treated everyone kindly. One of the nurses said that she had asked her what is was like to live such a long life and she responded with “it goes by in the blink of an eye.”
That’s my moment today. Hearing that. Because it’s so true. The next thing you know and 5 years have passed. Then 10 years. Then 20, then 30 and so on. We don’t have time.
It seems like we do but in reality we don’t. This is why making decisions quickly and then moving quickly is the key if you have dreams of accomplishment.
You can only plan for so long. At some point you have to act. You have to enter that tunnel I talked about at the event and enter it often because the time is gonna pass anyways.
So you might as well do what you can with the time you’ve got and stop giving it all away to other things that aren’t your priority. Get where you want to go AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
I’ve been a part of my wife’s family for over 29 years now and granny was always kind and smiling any time I saw her. She lived a good life. For most people at 37 yrs old your life is already half over.
In the blink of an eye it’ll be gone. Who do you want to become? Better hurry up and make it happen.
