The “Unmasking” Exercise
Find a quiet space. Get your journal (or a recorder to talk into).. Close your eyes. Take a few deep belly breaths. Then ask yourself…
“Who am I when no one is watching?”
“What parts of me have I been hiding to be accepted?”
“If I wasn’t trying to impress, prove, or please… how would I show up today?”
Then begin to write freely. Don’t edit. Let it pour out.
Then, circle any answers that feel alive, scary, or true… those are intuitive clues pointing you back home to your real self. The you that is the gift to the world
Bonus practice:
Do one small thing today that aligns with that version of you.
Say what you mean. Dress how you want. Set a boundary. Express yourself honestly.
Authenticity isn’t a destination.. it’s a daily return that we must practice and remember 🙏🏼
