10 things that will almost always guarantee more happiness
Nothing groundbreaking or that you haven't heard before... Just the stuff we forget when life gets loud and demanding.. It's always nice to have a little refresher 😃
1️⃣ Take care of your body.. Something that has been a game changer for me is.. Sleep 8+ hours. Get 10,000+ steps in daily... Eat real food. Drink water + maldon salt.. It's hard to feel good in life when your body is exhausted. Oh and CELERY JUICE! An amazing detox to take on an empty stomach in the morning.
2️⃣ Be honest with yourself.. Even when it’s uncomfortable...Especially when it’s uncomfortable. One of the best gifts we can give ourselves is honesty about who we're being, where we're at, and where it is we want to go (and be around)
3️⃣ Let go of what you can’t control.. Most of our stress comes from fighting reality instead of meeting it.. Accept the moment as it is not how you want it to be. Byron Katie has a quote that says "when I argue with reality I lose... but only 100% of the time"... Dance with the moments. Find the lesson in ALL of it!
4️⃣ Do one thing each day you’re proud of.. This doesn’t have to be huge. In fact, it usually isn’t. Keep a promise to yourself. Finish the thing you said you would...Speak up when you normally stay quiet. Self-trust is built in these small moments… and self-trust is a direct path to happiness. Create one WIN per day that you commit to and show up to complete.. This builds trust, trust builds confidence, and confidence builds the trajectory of your life.
5️⃣ Spend time with people who feel safe to your nervous system.. The ones you don’t have to perform for..The ones who don’t rush you, fix you, or drain you...Nervous systems regulate in healthy connection...Choose relationships that feel like simple exhalation, not effort.
6️⃣ Get outside every day.. Nature is truly medicine. The earth literally heals you.. direct physical contact with the Earth's surface allows the body to absorb free-flowing, negatively charged electrons. These electrons help neutralize positively charged free radicals.. often produced by inflammation, stress, or pollution=,, which can improve sleep, reduce pain, and lower cortisol. Sunlight. Fresh air. Bare feet on the ground if you can. Nature has a way of reminding us what matters and what doesn’t. Even five minutes can reset your entire state + nervous system.
7️⃣ Stop comparing your path to someone else’s.. Remember that it's different timing. Different lessons. Different assignments. Comparison is usually just a sign you’re disconnected from your own lane. Come back to your work. Your season. Your pace. Bring gratitude to what you DO have and all comparison will naturally dissipate.
8️⃣ Create more than you consume.. Write something. Build something. Move energy through your body..Consuming too much disconnects you from your own voice and power.. Creating brings you back home to yourself. Even if you don't feel like it.. start small... action creates clarity.
9️⃣ Forgive… for your own peace.. Not because what happened was okay.. Not even because they deserve it..But because holding resentment is exhausting. Forgiveness is less about them and more about setting yourself free. Take back your own power.
🔟 Be present where you are.. Happiness isn’t some future destination. It's usually right here… in the moment you keep rushing past. Slow down enough to notice it... Find time to just be... No agenda, no demands, just you and your beautiful beating heart... Let the mind do what it does... come back to being the observer (the witness) of all of it. "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is the gift.. that's why we call it the present. BE HERE NOW. It takes time to practice this but the magic is always happening in every moment when we learn to let go of clinging, attaching, and realizing the symphony never stops playing.
