Hi All.
I am a little late to adopt AI compared to others but I am now fully invested to learn and support.
So far I have only used chatgpt to great success for the last month (yes I am only a month into using ai), and quickly also learned about its limitations.
I want to switch it up now to lean more into the combining AI tools into new workflows for me, which led me to opencode and then to here.
I am about to install opencode and start my new journey, but I feel confident that my technology choice is the correct one.
One thing I have noticed which led me to a thought experiment.
Since I am new to opencode, and since there is a new windows desktop version to install and use, and also given that opencode is growing at a fast pace, does it make more sense to use that to learn with given that i predict the 'all in one' version would most likely attract a lot of users and my assumption is that it will grow quite fast?
The alternative as far as I understand is to use VS code or Cursor, but cursor seems to need payment unless I misunderstand and I can use it without payment if using other ai models and not theirs?
I am also looking forward to showcase what I am working on, but will have to be careful to separate the parts that needs to be protected for business I work for and what I can show. I assume we can share some of our creations here?
Just another thing - I might not be strong on AI and tools yet, but I know I am very strong in other areas, so want to check if this forum could also be a place where I can assist with other non-ai skills (as a way to repay the assistance with getting up to par with ai tools, and because it is just nice to help)
