QWEN
I discovered something new I was using chatgpt to try and put a novel I had for many years down as rpoject and it seemed to get cofused so often. When looking at the ai models opencode uses i checked out QWEN, and it seems they can do it with a code like interface, so that where I had problems with chatgpt that constantly drifted away from things that where 'locked' QWEN has a much easier time with creative writing that is in a longer format. I would love to share my novel here when the times come closer to reveal it! Anyone else looked at QWEN, and are there better tools than it out there for AI novel writing?

So, what I ended up with is that Qwen just phrased it in a usefull way to start with, and I managed to shift how I work with chatgpt to achieve the same. I am doing it now in opencode application for windows using chatgpt engine. Seems like qwen and chatgpt will have similar results. Strange thing happened though. After installing local models I no longer see pickle and qwen in my available models to use on opencode. The local model seems to have a hard time understanding any request. I think it needs specific inputs to get reasonable results.
What I'm working on right now
No fluff, just real talk. I'm in the middle of building my online business around my expertise and honestly? Some days I feel like I'm figuring it out as I go. Right now I'm focused on three things: 1. Nailing my offer: I know what I'm good at. I'm just making sure I'm packaging it in a way that actually solves a real problem for real people. Still tweaking it. 2. Finding my voice: There's a lot of noise out there. I'm not trying to sound like everyone else, I want people to read my stuff and just know it's me. 3. Getting my website up: Actually got someone helping me pull it together. Nothing fancy just a clean simple home base that represents what I do. It's a work in progress but it's moving. Some weeks feel like massive progress. Other weeks I question everything. But I keep going because I know this is worth building. Anyone else juggling a bunch of things at once right now? Would love to know what you're working on drop it below We're all figuring this out. Might as well do it together.

Figuring out as you go means that you are learning a lot. That is really important, since it means you are moving closer to your goal. Keep going at it. Would be keen to hear how you planning to get traffic to your site.

Hi All. I am a little late to adopt AI compared to others but I am now fully invested to learn and support. So far I have only used chatgpt to great success for the last month (yes I am only a month into using ai), and quickly also learned about its limitations. I want to switch it up now to lean more into the combining AI tools into new workflows for me, which led me to opencode and then to here. I am about to install opencode and start my new journey, but I feel confident that my technology choice is the correct one. One thing I have noticed which led me to a thought experiment. Since I am new to opencode, and since there is a new windows desktop version to install and use, and also given that opencode is growing at a fast pace, does it make more sense to use that to learn with given that i predict the 'all in one' version would most likely attract a lot of users and my assumption is that it will grow quite fast? The alternative as far as I understand is to use VS code or Cursor, but cursor seems to need payment unless I misunderstand and I can use it without payment if using other ai models and not theirs? I am also looking forward to showcase what I am working on, but will have to be careful to separate the parts that needs to be protected for business I work for and what I can show. I assume we can share some of our creations here? Just another thing - I might not be strong on AI and tools yet, but I know I am very strong in other areas, so want to check if this forum could also be a place where I can assist with other non-ai skills (as a way to repay the assistance with getting up to par with ai tools, and because it is just nice to help)

I am experimenting with the opencode installer a little, might switch to normal recommended version, but I like to experiment. One thing I found when I close it and reopen it would not remember chat history, which apparently is by design, and a little surprising. Also I am still using it like I did chatgpt, but it is amazing already to see it working with making files, installing what needs to be installed etc. I would like to figure out all the dependencies it takes care of automatically, so I need to educate myself a lot more how to do things manually in order to better understand it, and then I know I still need to use agents, but one step at a time 😅.
SPECIAL EVENT END OF THIS MONTH
I’m hosting a free live webinar for the community the end of this month, and I think this one is going to be really useful. Especially if you’re a developer building your own startup or trying to turn your technical skills into a real business system. I'll be teaching the framework that @William Guidry has used in his businesses for years. A lot of people are using AI in random ways right now. A prompt here. A tool there. But that doesn’t always simplify the business. It can just add more moving pieces. In this webinar, I’m going to walk through a simple 4-part framework for thinking about your business more strategically, so you can get focused on what matters. We’ll cover: 1. How to think of business 2. How to use AI as part of your business workflow, not just as a chatbot 3. How to set the framework up inside OpenCode so you can actually use it while you build Why you might want to attend: - You’re a developer building a startup - You have too many ideas and need a clearer way to prioritize - You want AI to help you run the business, not just write code - You want a practical system you can reuse over and over - You’re trying to move from “technical founder” to “strategic operator” My goal is to make this simple, practical, and immediately useful. By the end, you should have a clearer way to think about your business and a starting point for setting it up in OpenCode so your AI workflow actually supports the way you operate. Comment ''4" and I'll add you to list attendees, so you won't miss out. P.S. you have to comment in order to get access so you can be registered and can join the event. 🙂

OpenCode Go
I feel like supporting them already, but just want to confirm that would be a worthwhile subscription. Currently I only have a ChatGPT subscription. Where there is enough benefits compared to other models I dont mind it, and chatgpt I am very happy with atm. I got a feeling that OpenCode Go might be another winner, but want to check if anyone else has this subscription and what the feedback is from it?
