“The Write Way” Reader
An Introduction of new members By Zane D. Dowling
YES IT'S LONG. IT'S A STORY. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ IT JUST GO TO THE MEMBERS TAB AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHO HAS RECENTLY JOINED. - A note to my wife and whomever else doesn't have time to read.
“Welcome in,” Zane calls out as he glances over his shoulder for just a second after hearing the door bell ring. He's busy, as usual, making a milk shake for one of his regulars. Zane turns and handed the regular his shake, wipes his hands on his apron and properly greets his walk in, now at the counter. “Hi, I’m Zane. Welcome to “The Write Way” cafe. What can I get for ya’.”
“I’m Robyn, Robyn Thielmann. I’ll just take a look at the menu for now. I’m waiting for some friends to arrive.” She turns to find a good sized table. She is expecting a rather large group of friends.
“Great! Let me know if you have any questions, but the waiter will be with you shortly.” Zane says after handing her a menu from the counter. “Sit wherever you like.”
Robyn is new to the place. She and her friends are looking to talk about writing together and are checkin out this place as a regular meeting spot. They are all aspiring authors, though Robyn is new to writing. She would love to learn poetry and eventually write books for both kids and adults. She was convinced to try the place out because it was free.
It wasn’t long before Ana Sastrias walked in and sat down with Robyn. Ana was Born and lived in México City for 34 years but now lives in Australia, teaching Spanish since 2023 to English Speakers. She loves Words and their Origins and Meanings, a fitting hobby for a teacher. She has written a little already with an interest in short stories, poetry and song lyrics. She actually knows Zane. She met him in another shop within the city of skool.
PietaVivianne Hill popped her head in and quickly found her friends sitting in the corner. PietaVivianne is ✦ Built different. Probably missing drivers ✦ ⚡ she fixes problems she accidentally created.✦💀and thinks outside the box’s, box’s, box💡✦ She has written a little, as well finding interest in the Narrative, Descriptive, Creative, Business, Academic, Digital, Copy writing, and Persuasive genre. She wants to find people who understand her soul.
All of a sudden Kesh Reforma walks in with confidence. Having written a little, and with an interest in creative writing, and article/blog writing, this gal needs no introduction and is ready to join her community of writers {friends} to discuss writing “The Write Way”.
Soon thereafter, Marie Kozey walked in with a simple ‘hello’. A bit shy but not afraid to jump in when it is needed, she has written a little, with most of her interest laying in MEMOIRs AND FAMILY STORY. She just thought IT WAS TIME to join the group.
Phil Pasquet, passionate about poetry, wants to take you on a journey of discovery in the depths of his mind through the power of poetry, of which he has some completed works. Poetry is his sole interest in joining this crew of writers but he is Interesting in making himself a better writer.
Olivia Chris arrived early but had just come from the Ladies room when she saw the group already sitting. She quickly joined and greeted them “Hello,” she said “I’m Olivia, a professional writer and editor with a heart for God's word,” she continued, unabashedly. “I have some completed works and am most interested in Christian, Fiction and Non fiction.” She finished with a slight smile and sat down taking her place in this community of fellow writers. She is a writer of writers, and writing is what she will do.
Finally, Janet Jones,- a professional book editor, translator, designer and beta reader, who mysteriously tells the group she is new to writing - she mustn’t like to brag - has most of her interest in the genre of Christian books. She says to the table, “I joined the group because I want to explore more on writing.”
And the table said, “Mmhmm” and quietly left it at that.
Soon the waiter came to take their order and they all had a wonderful time a "The Write Way" Cafe.
The End
Let the credits roll.
Zane D. Dowling - a writer who actually - in real life - owned and operated a Hawaiian Style restaurant for 9 years with his wife. It was a real 'Mom and Pop' but was loved by the local Hawaiian community in Tucson Arizona.
