My dear friends,
I accepted the membership of someone yesterday and, as I do with all new members, I sent her a DM warning against soliciting. I will not tolerate the breaking of this rule and since she did it three times straight away, I have banned her. I know there are people who do work as editors and specialty production and I am willing to consider them for a pre-approved promotion through a direct message to me. However, I want to know they are the kind of person who is truly helpful and wants to be a part of the community and not just out to get a quick buck here.
As I posted before, I will accommodate individuals who have given into the community and reached level 5 by allowing them to request a pre-approved promotion. I am even looking for other ways to allow members of the community to promote themselves as authors and showcase their published works but I will allow that only after giving something of value to the community.
Please, when you see solicitations or receive direct messages related to offers for hire, do not interact with them. This is a community and I will not let it become a mere bulletin board
