Hello wonkiful artists (😇), I have something very exciting to share today… and you are the first ones I’m telling 😄💖 For years, I’ve watched Peggy Dean’s Summer Creative Retreat and thought how amazing it would be to be part of it one day. And this year… I am!!!!! I’ll be teaching at the Summer Creative Retreat 2026, and I still can’t quite believe I get to write that sentence. I’m honestly so, so excited 😄 The retreat takes place online from August 1–6 and is filled with live creative workshops from lots of different instructors. You can pick the sessions that sound fun to you, join from home and create your own little art retreat around your schedule, supplies and energy. I've attended many times and it's better than going on holiday, really, the creative energy over this week is out of this world. My workshop is on day 2 at 6 am PDT and we are going to create a Funky Flamingo illustration in my low-pressure technique. Don't miss it, it's going to be so much fun!!! Hey everyone, finally! My signature course "Low-Pressure Art-Making with Wonky Shapes" is now available right here inside The Wonky Art Society. 😍 I know not all of you are Skillshare members, so I really wanted to make sure you can access it here, too. This is the class where I teach the technique and philosophy behind my wonky shapes, why I intentionally avoid perfect lines and shapes, and how this little shift can take so much pressure out of drawing while still helping you grow your skills. You can now find the full class in the Classroom and purchase it directly there. And this is only the beginning. 😇 Little by little, I’ll be filling the Classroom with more classes, workshop replays, resources and other useful creative goodies. I’m also planning an optional membership for the future, so those of you who would like access to everything won’t have to purchase each item individually. The community and live events will stay free, of course. The membership will simply be another option for those who want the full growing library without having to purchase every single item. Hey everyone, my Mid-Century Illustration Fun with Markers & Ink: Make it Wonky! class is now available right here inside The Wonky Art Society, too! 😍 If you don’t know me yet, I have a strong passion for mid-century art and illustration and have a bunch of classes about it over on Skillshare. I know not everyone has a Skillshare subscription, so I’ll make sure to upload them all to the Wonky Art Society as well. In this class, we’ll loosen up, let go of perfection and create wonderfully wonky mid-century illustrations through five different exercises. You can follow along traditionally with markers and pen, or digitally in Procreate. You’ll find the full class in the Classroom, ready to purchase and watch whenever you like.
