Table cloth and the doctor
Another warm but Doctors blowing, the Table has its cloth on. Who knows what I am talking about?
I GAVE MY A1 ii A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN!
I totally misunderstood something very important. When out shooting with pre-capture I used BBF and shutter both pressed in at the same time. I got hundreds of photos, none of which were focussed. I had ti set to AF-C and it had crossed my mind that I might only need to focus once but decided I was being daft and over hopeful. I wish I had taken note of my own self. The camera is much smarter than I had realized. I tried when I got home. John was woking on his computer. I focussed on him using bbf and then let go and pressed the shutter and kpt it pressed. Now John rubbed his nose, tilted his head, scratched his head-in other words all the nrmal movements people male. each photo was in focus. I am amazed by this camera and by my own stupidity. For someone with a well above average IQ(135ish) I can be very thick.

Some Bird art.
We have many talented people in The Wildlife Lens and we would love to see their art, whether its photography, sketches, watercolours or even AI generated and its yours. Do not be intimidated, a Robin, a cardinal, a cockatoo or anything local to you is also exciting for us, really! (We want yours, not someone else's as we are connected to many of the best wildlife artists and photographers in the world). Its easy to feel intimidated, but honestly, what we see is the passion for the outdoors and nature and that's good for us.

💬 General Wildlife Chat - Everything Else That Doesn't Fit Elsewhere
This is where we talk about the stuff that doesn't need its own category. Wildlife news and articles? Share them. Saw something interesting about migration patterns, new research, or a conservation win? Post it. We're all here because we care about this stuff. Conservation discussions welcome. But keep it constructive. "Here's what's working" beats "everything's doomed" every time. We know there are problems - let's focus on solutions and what we can actually influence. Behavior observations are gold. Noticed something odd about how a bird was acting? Watched a snake do something unexpected? Saw a mammal behaving in a way that puzzled you? Share it. Sometimes the most interesting discussions come from "I saw this weird thing and I don't know what it means." Off-topic is fine within reason. We're wildlife people, but we're also humans with other interests. Chat about your week, share something funny, ask about camera gear that's not wildlife-specific. Just keep it friendly. Ask random questions. "Why do robins sing in winter?" "How do owls fly silently?" "What's the evolutionary point of peacock tails?" If you're curious about something, chances are others are too. No politics unless it's directly about wildlife policy. And even then, keep it civil. We're here for birds and animals, not arguments about stuff we can't control anyway. Be kind. Disagree with ideas, not people. We don't all have to agree on everything, but we do have to treat each other decently. I'll be in and out of this section regularly because this is where the random interesting conversations happen. The structured stuff is great, but sometimes the best discussions are the unplanned ones. What's on your mind? Gareth
