Rooted Not Rushed
This is all a learning curve as I learn to produce our bi monthly newsletter. I hope you enjoy and let me know as we go which format you find the most user friendly in the community. This week I have it as a PDF so you can download it and save it for later to work on the journal prompts! :)

The Importance of Rest
The Importance of Rest In our busy lives, we often forget how significant it is to take a break. The Bible encourages us to set aside time to rest and recharge, especially on Sundays. This day not only offers a pause from our daily grind but also a moment for us to reconnect with God and rejuvenate our spirits. Taking a day to focus on our well-being and spiritual growth allows us to mirror God’s rest after creation. By honoring Sunday as a time of rest, we create space in our lives for God’s presence to dwell and for us to find peace. Hebrews 4:9-10 “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.” – Hebrews 4:9-10

Permission to Play 🍁
A lighthearted reminder to slow down, savor the season, and find joy in the in-between moments. 🐎 The Round Pen Where we meet in the ring — honest, open, and ready for what’s next. October rolls in with golden light, cooler mornings, and a quiet invitation: “Come enjoy what you’ve planted.” But for the high-achieving Western woman? Slowing down can feel… awkward. We’re trained to produce, not pause. To gather harvests — not moments. But what if this month, we chose presence over pressure? What if joy, laughter, and even a little play were part of the strategy — not a detour from it? 👑 Lead Like a Woman True strength is not about more effort — it’s about more alignment. Let me say it plain: Play is productive. Laughter clears the fog. Celebration resets your rhythm. A day in the saddle, a bonfire with friends, a drive with the windows down — these aren’t distractions. They’re renewals. God designed us for seasons — not spreadsheets. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 This week, give yourself permission to lighten up — not because your mission doesn’t matter, but because you do. 🤠 What She’s Seen - A story from the trail. I was supposed to be in the office all day, checking boxes. But the leaves were turning gold, the sky was ranch-blue, and my dogs were pacing the fence. So I ditched my list, threw on a hoodie, and went out on a long walk. It was maybe two hours — but it restored 10 days of mental clutter. That walk was sacred. Strategic. And exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Sometimes the most powerful thing a leader can do...is play like a kid who knows her Father’s got it all handled. 🐴 Saddle Up Strategy “A cheerful heart is good medicine…” — Proverbs 17:22 Play is part of healing. Joy is God-ordained. Don’t wait for permission — it’s already written into your design. What’s one thing this week that would make you feel light again? Journal Prompts: Take some time and use these prompts to get your heart to flow. Creativity is released.
