today’s message 🤍
read from James 1 this rising and whewwwww! this reminded me so good of the importance of living for God, embodying and abiding in His word.
“do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. do what it says.” James 1:22
we can read the Bible every day, know Scripture, and even share it with other people, but if we aren’t actually applying it to our own lives, then what is it really doing for us? God’s Word is like a mirror. it shows us what needs to change, but we can’t look at ourselves, see it, and then walk away like we forgot what He showed us. and obedience isn’t only about the big things. it’s also in how we speak, how we treat people, how we care for those in need, and how we keep ourselves from being influenced by the world. real faith should be visible in the way we live.
“whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it… they will be blessed in what they do.” James 1:25
don’t just read the Word. let it correct you, change you, and then actually do what it says. 🫂
