Guard your heart 🤍
Proverbs 4:20–27
today’s message is really about paying attention to what we’re allowing into us and where it’s leading us.
God tells us to guard our hearts because everything we do flows from it. and sometimes we don’t realize how much the things we watch, listen to, entertain, talk about, or even constantly think about are affecting our heart.
but I also love that He doesn’t just say guard your heart. He tells us to watch what comes out of our mouth, keep our eyes straight ahead, and really think about the path our feet are on.
because we can’t keep asking God to lead us while still entertaining things that keep pulling us away from Him.
sometimes following God really is as simple as being more intentional. what am I allowing into my heart? what am I speaking? what am I keeping my eyes on? and where are my choices actually taking me?
guard your heart, keep your eyes on Him, and make sure the path you’re walking is actually leading you closer to God. 🤍
