Weekly business goal
Happy Monday 🌿
I thought I’d share how I plan my week, in case it helps — especially at the start of a new community.
All the standard things are already a given for me:lessons, lesson prep, school runs, shopping, cleaning, childrens’ activities…
They’re part of life and the business, so I don’t even put them on my to-do list anymore.
What does go on my list is one main business focus for the week.
Just one.
Because realistically, there’s already a lot going on. When I add too many “important” things, my brain goes straight to “I can’t do all of this” — and that’s not helpful.
So I choose one non-routine business task.
Last week, my focus was finishing and opening this Skool community. It happened… Sunday morning 😅 right down to the wire.
This week, my focus is drafting my 2026/2027 tutoring schedule.I work around the school year, so September is my reset point.
Some weeks, the goal isn’t future planning at all. It might be:
  • sorting and organising all my lesson games
  • getting my email list up to date
  • fixing something that’s been annoying me for weeks
Always something outside the weekly routine, but important for the bigger picture.
👉 What is one business goal for you this week that’s not part of your usual routine?
