Who is the mentor that opened the door for you into your career?
I'd say besides my parents there were two people that formed the foundation for the career I have and the work that I do.
🙌 First, Jimmie Ferrell ran the Student Center at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and was the director of the Orientation Team. Jimmie was committed to personal development and led our team in what would now be referred to as "servant leadership". That framework for giving has defined what I pursued professionally.
🙌 The second mentor is Randy Berridge. Randy was my boss at AT&T in my first internship. On. the first day he laid out his expectations for what I would learn and take away from the experience. The most important thing he shared was that: "your network fo relationships is the foundation of your success...and whatever you need in life, that is where you will draw on your success...so take care of it."
🔥 We were created for community and relationships. Both of these men poured into me and set the standard for building trust in everything they did.
