Before explaining it again, try this question
When your child is stuck, it is natural to explain the lesson again right away. Sometimes that helps. Other times, a better first question is:
Where did this stop making sense?
That question shifts the conversation away from “Why can’t you do this?” and toward a specific place to investigate together.
This week, try using that question during one difficult lesson. You do not have to solve the whole subject. Just listen for the first point where the lesson became unclear.
If you try it, come back and share what you noticed. Did your learner identify a word, an example, a missing step, or something else?
