You do not have to solve the whole subject. Just listen for the first point where the lesson became unclear. If you try it, come back and share what you noticed. Did your learner identify a word, an example, a missing step, or something else?

Share as much or as little as you wish. Sometimes simply naming the exact stuck point is the beginning of a better next step.
