Peace is a Person
Happy Saturday everyone!
As I was reflecting on this week I was reminded about something I felt the Lord impress on my heart in the midst of it all. I was thinking about the different situations that occurred that normally would've left me in a world of anxiety. Then the Lord reminded me of 2 examples:
- Jesus asleep on the boat during the storm
- Jesus walking on the water and Peter getting out the boat to walk on the water
I felt the Lord say that the swirling of life's challenges, distractions and troubles don't go away. But our position and posture determine how those things impact us. As long as our eyes are fixed on Jesus, our response to those things is vastly different from when we focus our attention on those things:
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
What a promise!
