It felt to me like the morning muster and evening report don't achieve the goals I wished for a tracker because it simply wasn't clear enough.
Let me know what you think about this new MVS concept, I will post these daily as well;
"We do not rise to the level of our expectations. We fall to the level of our training." - Archilochus.
The MVS ensures that on your worst day, you are still moving forward.
THE 3 LAWS OF THE STANDARD:
I. LAW OF FUEL (BIO-CHEMISTRY)
• The Standard: Hitting your Effective Protein Target (e.g., 180g).
• The Binary Test: Did you hit the number without consuming "Ghost Protein" (Trash Code)?
• Result: [PASS / FAIL]
II. II. LAW OF IRON (KINETIC OUTPUT)
• The Standard: 20 Minutes of Intentional Physical Stress.
• The Protocol:
• Option A (Optimal): workout as planned (gym, callisthenics session, run, etc).
• Option B (The Siege): If you cannot access Iron, you execute the "Zero-Option" (e.g., 100 Burpees for time, 20-min Bodyweight EMOM, or Hill Sprints).
• The Binary Test: Did you perform any of the options above?
• Result: [PASS / FAIL]
III. LAW OF MIND (NEURAL HYGIENE)
• The Standard: The Blackout Protocol. No digital screens (Phone/TV/PC) 60 minutes before sleep.
• The Binary Test: Was your phone physically outside the bedroom when you closed your eyes?
• Result: [PASS / FAIL]
THE REPORTING PROTOCOL
To enforce the MVS, we use Public Visual Management.
The "Daily MVS" Post:
Every morning, a post goes live.
Every Operative must comment their status for the previous 24 hours. This way we can't cheat the data.
The Comment Format:
OPERATIVE: [Name]
FUEL: ✅ (180g)
IRON: ✅ (Push Session - A)
MIND: ❌ (Failed - Scrolled in bed)
SCORE: 2/3
At the end of every week I will sum up everbody's reports.
The Consequence:
• 3/3: You held the line.
• 2/3: You are leaking power. Fix it.
• 0/3 or 1/3: You are not progressing.
This is the MVS. Clear. Binary. Unforgiving.
