I finally get how difficult it is to be an entrepreneur after spending the past year building my brand and building the foundation of my business. There have been times where I wanted to give up, and it was my community that kept me going. There have been times when I finally overcame something that was hard and I needed to celebrate, and I was again grateful for community. One of the books that really made an impression on my thinking pattern last year was Hooked by Nir Eyal. It provides excellent insight about creating habit-forming products, so your customers don’t just buy once, but they integrate it into their life routine increasing their Lifetime Value (LTV). This month, I want you all to think about which moments in your customers lives are or could be habits and how your product or solution can be a helpful addition to inspire or perpetuate that? This year has changed me. I started the year as I normally do: striving, stressed, small. Then one month in, I lost my job and I was afraid of losing my mind. I am so grateful that God taught me how to power through tough times. How to keep my mind by keeping close to the Holy Spirit. So when I lost my job, I leaned in. I trusted God's plan. I thought that would lead to a new job; instead, it has led to opportunities, ideas, healing. - I hosted the first ever HER SparKHx, a Visioning Experience for Ambitious Women - I traveled to Miami to do a VIP Content Weekend - I went to Jamaica for my best friend and business bestie's wedding - I vended at my first festival and got to vend at the largest Delta convention in the country - I became an AI Marketing Consultant and launched this Skool community - I was interviewed for a podcast where I talked about the power of AI - I spoke at my first virtual event, The Dream Life Summit I know a lot can happen in a year, but I truly could not have planned this. I did have an intention that sparked it all, though. One that I was nurturing in 2024 and one that I gave to God at my HER SparKHx event in February. You can actually see that moment here - Instagram My intention at the time was just a Seed. A vague idea of what the future could be. Now, it feels as though that future is shaping around me, more and more every day. That is why I want to be intentional about how I bring in 2026. I have so much gratitude for what God has already done. Yet, I know there is still so much that God can still do. As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on how this year continued to surprise me. I thought losing my job meant I failed, but turns out, God was giving me the chance to chase my dreams. This past weekend, I experienced a taste of what my dream life could feel like firsthand when I was invited to do a VIP Content Experience in Miami for Art Basel. It wasn’t just the work, it was the location, the culture, the lifestyle. Miami sparked new joy and excitement in me about what’s possible for my life. It was proof that the vision I’m holding is catching up to the version of myself I decided to become.
