Meditation to Bring Through a Guide for Spirit Drawings
Here is a guided meditation to connect with a spirit guide specifically to help guide your hand in creating spirit-inspired drawings. This practice will attune you to your guide's energy, open your intuitive channels, and invite their assistance in your creative process.
1. Prepare Your Space
Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. Have your drawing materials (paper, pencils, etc.) nearby.
Dim the lights or light a candle to create a sacred atmosphere.
2. Ground Yourself
Sit in a comfortable position, either at your drawing station or nearby.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Visualize roots growing from your feet, anchoring you deeply into the earth.
Say silently or aloud:
“I ground myself in the present moment, safe and supported by the energy of the earth.”
3. Open Your Energy Field
Imagine a column of pure white light descending from above, entering through the top of your head (your crown chakra).
Allow this light to fill your entire body, flowing down through your heart and into your arms, hands, and fingers.
Visualize this light expanding outward, creating a radiant sphere of energy around you.
Affirm:
“I open my energy to connect with spirit, inviting only those of the highest love, light, and truth to join me.”
4. Set the Intention
Silently or aloud, set your intention to connect with a spirit guide who specializes in assisting with artistic or creative expression.
Say:
“I invite my spirit guide who works with creativity and art to step forward. I ask for your loving guidance in helping me create drawings that bring through the energy, presence, and message of spirit. Guide my hand as I create.”
5. Meet Your Guide
Visualize a warm, glowing presence stepping into your energy field. This may feel like a soft pressure, a warmth, or a sense of calm.
In your mind’s eye, see or sense your guide’s form. They may appear clearly, or you might feel their energy rather than see them. Trust whatever comes through.
Take a moment to connect with your guide. Silently ask:
“What is your name?” or “How will I recognize your presence?”
Be open to impressions, whether they come as a word, image, or feeling.
6. Ask for Assistance
Now, focus on your hands. Visualize your guide’s energy gently blending with yours. Imagine their light flowing into your arms and hands, making them feel light and free.
Say:
“I surrender my hand to your loving guidance. Please help me bring through images that reflect spirit’s message and essence.”
7. Practice Hand Connection (Optional Warm-Up)
If you’re ready, pick up your drawing tool. Allow your hand to rest lightly on the paper.
Focus on your guide’s energy flowing into your hand, and let it move naturally, without judgment or control.
You might start with abstract shapes, lines, or simple symbols. Trust the process.
8. Begin Spirit Drawing
When you feel ready, invite your guide to help you draw the essence of a spirit communicator or the impression of a message.
Ask:
“Who would like to come through?”
Or simply allow the process to unfold without questioning.
Let your hand move freely, trusting that your guide is working with you. If images, symbols, or impressions arise in your mind, incorporate them into the drawing.
9. Stay Receptive
As you draw, remain open to any sensations, thoughts, or feelings. These could be additional messages from spirit or impressions of the person you are drawing.
If words or symbols appear in your mind, jot them down alongside the drawing.
10. Close the Session
When you feel complete, gently thank your guide and any spirits who came through.
Say:
“Thank you for your guidance, creativity, and presence. I am grateful for your assistance in bringing through these drawings.”
Visualize the connection gently fading, leaving you grounded and surrounded by your own energy.
11. Ground and Reflect
Place your tools aside and take a moment to ground yourself again. Visualize your roots deep in the earth and feel fully present in your body.
Open your eyes and review the drawing. Reflect on any impressions you received or emotions that surfaced during the process. Write them down if helpful.
Regular Practice
The more you practice this meditation, the stronger your connection with your guide will become. Over time, the process of drawing with spirit will feel more natural, and you’ll grow more confident in trusting the guidance that flows through your hand.
