Welcome to ‘Simply Sleep’. 🌙✨ You’re here because sleep has become a struggle. And if you’re anything like the women I work with, you’ve probably tried everything, the apps, the supplements, the routines, the white noise machines, and still you’re awake at 3am, mind churning, body tense, wondering what’s wrong with you. Here’s what I know: nothing is wrong with you! Your nervous system is just sending you signals it doesn’t feel safe. This community exists because sleep isn’t about discipline. It’s not about doing more, optimizing harder, or forcing yourself into some prescribed routine. Real sleep restoration happens when we understand why we don’t sleep, and then we address it, not with shame, but with compassion and biology. In ‘Simply Sleep’, we work with a simple framework: ❤️ Your nervous system as the foundation (polyvagal theory, vagal tone, co-regulation) ❤️ Your values as the compass (what actually matters to you, not what Instagram says should) ❤️ Sense of Coherence as the target (feeling that your life makes sense, even in the hard bits) This means we’ll explore: ✓ What’s really keeping you awake (hint: it’s often not what you think) ✓ How to work with your body instead of against it ✓ The sleep-nutrition-nervous system triad that most people miss ✓ Real tools that feel gentle, not like another thing to force What you’ll find here: 📚 The Classroom: structured modules that build monthly 💬 This community space: real conversations, no algorithms, just us 🎙️ Access to my podcast and guided visualizations 🤝 A group of women who truly get what sleep struggle feels like What you won’t find: ✗ Judgement (you’re doing your best) ✗ “Just relax” advice (if it were that simple, you’d already be asleep) ✗ Selling you supplements you don’t need ✗ Toxic positivity wrapped in wellness language This is a place where your sleep struggles are taken seriously, your nervous system is understood, and healing happens slowly, gently, and for real. I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s do this together.
Have you heard of the Observer Effect? 🌙
Quantum physics or proper woo-woo? Honestly, I think it might be one and the same. Here’s the idea: just by observing something, you draw in the possibility that it will happen. That’s the Observer Effect, and it’s a bit of a Law of Attraction favourite. But here’s the part that gets me every time, you can do this for other people. And they can do it for you. So imagine that, but as a whole community. Picture everyone in here, all of us, holding each other in mind. All picturing each other landing exactly where we’re meant to be. All sending out that steady “yes, this is coming for you.” And because it’s not our own dream we’re focused on, there’s none of the usual resistance getting in the way. No fear, no doubt, no “but what if it doesn’t happen”, because we’re not attached to each other’s outcomes the way we are to our own. We can just see it clearly. Feel it. Believe it. And that belief becomes a signal boost. Then someone does the exact same for us. This is why doing this together matters so much more than doing it alone. It’s not just your hope carrying the weight anymore, it’s everyone’s, all pointed at each other, on repeat. So here’s what I’d love to try: drop a comment below with one thing you’re hoping to align with right now, better sleep, more ease, a bit more calm in your evenings, whatever it is. And let’s all hold that for each other. 💛 You’re never doing this on your own in here. Berit x

The mineral behind 300+ jobs in your body 🌙
Let’s talk magnesium, because it does a lot of work in the background , and many of us are short on it without realising. The body relies on it for over 300 biochemical reactions. When levels dip, it rarely shows up as one big symptom. Instead you get a scattering of little things: more tension, a shorter fuse, restless sleep, the odd muscle twitch. Some of what magnesium is doing behind the scenes: ⭐️ Helping your cells make and use energy ⭐️ Letting muscles contract and relax (including your heart) ⭐️ Keeping your nervous system calm ⭐️ Helping regulate blood sugar ⭐️ Building strong bones ⭐️ Making GABA and melatonin, your calming, sleep-supporting messengers Food does a lot of the heavy lifting. Easy sources to lean on: pumpkin seeds, almonds, dark leafy greens, black beans, oats and quinoa, avocado, dark chocolate (70%+ 🍫), fatty fish, bananas and figs. A handful of pumpkin seeds, greens with dinner, a square of good chocolate are small ways to keep topping up the tank. And personally? I take magnesium glycinate in the evenings. It’s gentle on the tummy and calming, a lovely way to wind down for sleep. Food first, always through, and a quick word with your GP or pharmacist if you’re on medication. Berit x 👇 Quick poll, what’s your main source of magnesium?

How you do one thing is how you do everything. 👀
Bit dramatic, right? Except… it’s not, is it. Because most of us aren’t undone by one big failure. We’re undone by the small stuff. The tiny promises we make to ourselves that no one else ever sees. “I’ll go to bed earlier tonight.” “I’ll actually wind down instead of scrolling.” “I’ll stop working at 7, not 9.” No witness. No accountability. Which is exactly why it’s so easy to let slide. 🙃 But here’s the hopeful bit: if the small habit shapes the whole pattern… it can also change it. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life to sleep better. You for instance just need your evenings to stop happening to you. Netflix till midnight because that’s just what evenings look like. Working late because the job demands it. Scrolling because it’s easier than sitting in the quiet. None of that makes you undisciplined. It just means nothing else has taken its place yet. So tonight, one small, deliberate thing. Something that tells your body: right, we’re winding down now. A warm drink. Dimmer lights. Ten minutes of actual stillness. Small. Maybe even boring. But it’s the thing that changes the whole trajectory. ✨ What’s the one small thing you’d consider changing tonight? Tell me below 👇
