Today, in my birth country of Jamaica, it is Independence Day. This is celebrated when the country gained independence from British rule and became its own identity. It is celebrated every year with a public holiday and national pride.
As moms, we have a new identity also, before we were just us, but now we are more. Do we dare to celebrate being that?
