Welcome to The Reselling Standard: My Story & Our Mission
Hey everyone, welcome! I’m James, founder of Open Outfit and part-owner of a wholesale business supplying vintage and pre-owned clothing.
Over the last few years I’ve:
- Sold over 100,000 items online.
- Personally listed and processed 120,000+ items.
- Grown Open Outfit to £600K revenue last year.
- Co Owner of a wholesale operation which processes up to 80,000+ items every month.
So I’ve seen reselling from both sides: the day-to-day grind of listing and shipping thousands of items, and the bigger picture of moving stock at scale.
👉 But to be clear — this group is not here to advertise wholesale.This community is here to share knowledge, raise the standard of reselling, and support each other.
Why I started this group
I realised there wasn’t a single place where resellers could:
- Learn what actually works in eBay, Depop, Etsy, and beyond.
- Share strategies without hype or fluff.
- Grow together, whether you’re just starting out or scaling into thousands of sales.
That’s why I created The Reselling Standard — to build a community that sets a higher bar for reselling.
