THIS WEEK: START THINKING ABOUT YOUR SKIN 👀 Your skin is your body’s largest organ, and I want everybody in the group to start thinking a little differently about what you’re putting on it and even what you’re touching every single day. We think so much about what we eat, what we drink, what supplements we take…but what about what our skin is exposed to? Think about it. The lotion you rub all over your body. The makeup you put on your face.Your deodorant. Your perfume. Your soap and laundry detergent. The sheets and pillowcases you sleep on for HOURS every night. The cleaning products you touch. Even receipts the coatings used on some thermal receipt paper can contain chemicals such as BPA or BPS that can transfer to your skin. Your skin is not just a covering. It’s a living, functioning organ, and certain substances absolutely can be absorbed through it. That’s literally why topical and transdermal medications exist. So today and throughout this week, I want you to become AWARE. Before you put something on your skin, ask yourself: What’s actually in this? Before you buy another lotion, body wash, makeup product, detergent, or household product, flip it over and READ IT. Start paying attention to the things you touch every single day without even thinking about them. You don’t have to change your entire house overnight. Just start noticing. Awareness comes first. Then we start making better swaps. 🌿 For today’s homework: Pick ONE thing you regularly put on your skin or come into contact with every day that your concerned about.
