Week 3 - Day 1: LET INTEGRITY GUIDE MY DECISIONS
DAY 1 — “Let Integrity Guide My Decisions”
Scripture Foundation:
Proverbs 11:3 (AMPC)“The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the willful contrariness and crookedness of the treacherous shall destroy them.”
Highlighted Exegesis — “Integrity Shall Guide Them”
The Hebrew word for integrity is tōm, meaning:
  • wholeness
  • completeness
  • moral soundness
  • innocence of motive
  • consistency between inner life and outer life
Integrity is not perfection —it is alignment.
The phrase “shall guide them” uses the Hebrew nāḥâ, meaning:
  • to lead
  • to direct
  • to straighten a path
  • to make a way clear
  • to govern decisions
This means integrity is not just a virtue —it is a guiding force.
Integrity becomes:
  • a compass
  • a filter
  • a stabilizer
  • a decision‑maker
  • a protector
Where there is integrity, there is clarity. Where there is integrity, there is direction. Where there is integrity, there is safety.
The opposite is also true:A
  • hidden compromise creates confusion
  • Double‑mindedness creates instability
  • Inconsistency creates destruction
David’s prayer in Psalm 51 and Solomon’s wisdom in Proverbs 11 converge here: “Lord, align my inner life so my decisions reflect Your truth.”
This is sanctification at the level of character.
It is not enough to have a clean heart —you must have a guided life.
Reference Scriptures
  • Psalm 25:21 — “Let integrity and uprightness preserve me.”
  • Psalm 15:2 — Walk uprightly and speak truth in the heart.
  • James 1:22 — Be doers of the Word, not hearers only.
  • Proverbs 4:26 — Make level paths for your feet.
  • 1 Chronicles 29:17 — God tests the heart and delights in integrity.
Life Application — Day 1
Today is about decision‑making alignment.
You are inviting God to confront:
  • decisions made from emotion instead of conviction
  • inconsistency between what you say and what you do
  • private habits that contradict public confession
  • areas where compromise has become comfortable
  • choices influenced by fear, pressure, or people‑pleasing
  • patterns that weaken your credibility or witness
This is the day you allow God to straighten your internal compass.
Pray this throughout the day, “Lord, let integrity guide my decisions. Align my inner life with Your truth. Strengthen me to choose what is right, even when it is difficult. Make my character consistent, whole, and trustworthy.”
This is the day you stop letting circumstances guide you —and start letting integrity lead you.
Reflection Questions — Day 1
  1. Where have my decisions lacked consistency or conviction
  2. What private habits contradict the person I want to become
  3. Where do I feel the tension between integrity and convenience
  4. What decisions require courage, honesty, or alignment
  5. What does integrity look like for me in this season
