@Betty Millner Welcome, Sister Betty. I'm grateful you found us.
Week 5 - Day 3: Take Every Thought Captive
DAY 2 — “Take Every Thought Captive” Scripture Foundation: 2 Corinthians 10:5 (AMPC)“…we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ…” Highlighted Exegesis — “Take Captive” The Greek phrase “take captive” is aichmalōtizō, meaning: - to seize - to arrest - to take control of - to dominate - to bring under authority This is not passive. It is militant mental discipline. Paul reveals that thoughts are not harmless; they are spiritual entities that must be governed. The text identifies: - imaginations (logismous) — mental pictures, scenarios, assumptions - arguments — internal debates, rationalizations, self‑talk - high things — pride, self‑exaltation, emotional narratives - thoughts — recurring patterns, mental habits, internal scripts These must be brought into obedience (hypakoē): - alignment with Christ - submission to truth - surrender to Scripture - agreement with God’s perspective A renewed mind is not simply inspired; it is disciplined. You cannot renew what you refuse to confront. You cannot transform what you allow to roam freely. You cannot walk in truth while entertaining lies. This is sanctification at the level of mental authority. It is not enough to think differently: you must rule your thoughts. Reference Scriptures - Philippians 4:8 — Think on these things. - Romans 8:6 — The mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. - Isaiah 55:7–9 — God’s thoughts are higher. - Colossians 3:2 — Set your mind on things above. - Proverbs 23:7 — As a man thinks, so is he. Life Application — Day 2 Today is about mental mastery. You are inviting God to confront: - thoughts that drain your faith - internal narratives shaped by fear - imaginations that contradict Scripture - assumptions formed by past wounds - mental loops that keep you stuck - emotional reasoning that overrides truth - patterns that sabotage spiritual growth This is the day you allow God to train your mind for obedience, so your thoughts serve your destiny, not your history.

Week 5 - Day 1: Renew My Mind, Lord
DAY 1 — “Renew My Mind, Lord” Scripture Foundation: Romans 12:2 (AMPC)“Do not be conformed to this world… but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind…” Highlighted Exegesis — “Renewal of the Mind” The Greek word for “renewal” is anakainōsis, meaning: - a complete renovation - a thorough re‑wiring - a fresh beginning - a re‑calibration of thought - a transformation from the inside out Paul is not describing a small adjustment — he is describing a mental overhaul. The phrase “do not be conformed” (mē syschēmatizesthe) means: - do not be shaped by - do not be molded by - do not adopt the patterns of - do not internalize the values of - do not imitate the mindset of the age The world shapes minds through: - culture - trauma - habits - media - environment - emotional experiences - unrenewed thought patterns But transformation (metamorphoō) happens when the mind is: - washed by truth - aligned with Scripture - re‑trained by the Spirit - disciplined toward righteousness - re‑patterned by the Word Renewal is not merely thinking differently — it is thinking spiritually. It is the process of replacing: - lies with truth - fear with faith - confusion with clarity - fleshly reasoning with divine perspective - emotional reactions with Spirit‑led responses This is sanctification at the level of thought life. It is not enough to change behavior — your mind must be transformed. Reference Scriptures - Ephesians 4:23 — Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. - Philippians 2:5 — Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus. - Colossians 3:2 — Set your mind on things above. - Isaiah 26:3 — He keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him. - 2 Corinthians 10:5 — Take every thought captive. Life Application — Day 1 Today is about mental transformation. You are inviting God to confront: - thought patterns shaped by old seasons - mental habits that contradict Scripture - internal narratives formed by trauma - assumptions that limit spiritual growth - emotional reasoning that overrides truth - beliefs that no longer align with who you are becoming

Week 5 - Day 1: Renew My Mind, Lord
Week 4 - Day 7: Let the Fear of the Lord Anchor My Life
DAY 7 — “Let the Fear of the Lord Anchor My Life” Scripture Foundation: Psalm 112:1 (AMPC)“Praise the Lord! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.” Highlighted Exegesis — “Anchor My Life” Psalm 112 reveals a profound truth: the fear of the Lord is not momentary — it is stabilizing. The Hebrew word for “blessed” (’ashrê) means: - steady - stable - secure - firmly planted - advancing in divine favor This blessing is not emotional hype — it is anchored living. The fear of the Lord (yir’ah) anchors your life by: - grounding your identity - stabilizing your emotions - strengthening your convictions - securing your decisions - protecting your destiny - aligning your priorities The text says the one who fears the Lord “delights greatly in His commandments.” Delight (ḥāpēṣ) means: - to take pleasure in - to lean toward - to prefer - to choose willingly - to desire what God desires This means the fear of the Lord does not produce dread — it produces joyful obedience. A life anchored in the fear of the Lord becomes: - unshaken by pressure - unmoved by culture - unbothered by opposition - untempted by compromise - unconfused by shifting values This is sanctification at the level of whole‑life stability. It is not enough to revere God occasionally; your entire life must be anchored in Him. Reference Scriptures - Psalm 112:6–7 — The righteous will never be shaken. - Proverbs 10:27 — The fear of the Lord prolongs life. - Isaiah 33:6 — The fear of the Lord is your treasure and stability. - Psalm 1:2–3 — The one who delights in the Word is like a tree planted. - Hebrews 12:28 — Serve God with reverence and awe. Life Application — Day 7 Today is about whole‑life anchoring. You are inviting God to confront: - instability in your emotions - inconsistency in your devotion - wavering in your decisions - distractions that pull you off course - pressures that weaken your focus - habits that erode reverence - areas where your life feels ungrounded

Week 4 - Day 7: Let the Fear of the Lord Anchor My Life
Week 4 - Day 6: Let the Fear of the Lord Direct My Choices
DAY 6 — “Let the Fear of the Lord Direct My Choices” Scripture Foundation: Proverbs 3:7 (AMPC)“Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.” Highlighted Exegesis — “Direct My Choices” The phrase “be not wise in your own eyes” comes from the Hebrew ’al‑tihyeh ḥākām bĕ‘ênêkha, meaning: - Do not rely on your own perspective - Do not trust your own instincts alone - Do not elevate your understanding above God’s - Do not assume your way is the right way This is a call to humility. The command “fear the Lord” (yir’ah) means: - to honor God’s authority - to submit to His wisdom - to yield to His leadership - to allow His Word to govern decisions The phrase “turn entirely away from evil” (sûr mēra‘) means: - to reject what God rejects - to avoid what leads to compromise - to distance yourself from anything that weakens reverence - to choose righteousness even when it costs you The fear of the Lord directs choices by: - clarifying what is right - exposing what is wrong - strengthening conviction - restraining impulses - guiding decisions toward righteousness Where there is no fear of the Lord, choices are: - emotional - impulsive - self‑centered - inconsistent - easily influenced Where the fear of the Lord is present, choices become: - wise - steady - principled - Spirit‑led - aligned with God’s will This is sanctification at the level of decision‑making. It is not enough to desire God’s will; you must choose God’s will. Reference Scriptures - Psalm 25:12 — God teaches the reverent person the way they should choose. - Proverbs 16:3 — Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established. - Isaiah 30:21 — You will hear a voice saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” - James 1:5 — Ask God for wisdom in decision‑making. - Psalm 37:23 — The steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord. Life Application — Day 6 Today is about decision alignment.
