How I create colour combinations
- I use a method I call 5 Colour Method (5CM).
- Bold
- Complementary
- Neutral
- Light
- Dark
2. I choose the colours from a Colour Type (in your Fabric Formula - Level 5. This is normally $80 DIY, $250 DIWY). This way I know they will go together.
3. I then use a Colour Scheme to make sure I have balance.
For example this 5 colour combination is:
Colour Type: Autumn
Colour Scheme: Split Complementary
I will be sharing a bit more about this during our 10 day Moodboard Scavenger Hunt this month 11-20th May. I have also included an example of cushions that use this colour combination.
