💚 Sewing a Rolled hem - 2. Get Your Thread + Needle
Day 1 you got your scrap of fabric and cut it into a square or rectangle. We are just practicing doing the hem so you don't need a lovely piece of fabric yet. A piece of light weight cotton will do.
Today Must Haves:
- Get the right needle for your fabric
- Get the right thread for your fabric
Optional Extras
- Thread conditioner - wax/bees wax your thread so it doesn't curl as your sew (this is not essential, it can make it a little easier to sew.
- A padded board, something to pin your fabric to as you stitch. This makes the process much faster. I use a mini ironing board.
