Sankofa reminds me that the road forward may begin with a sacred return. My heritage reaches across several West African countries—each carrying its own stories, traditions, wisdom, and ancestral memory. I look to the past not to remain there, but to gather what history preserved for me: the missing pieces, the meaningful connections, and the truths still echoing through generations. Perhaps my future is waiting within those discoveries—within the names, lands, journeys, and legacies of those who came before me. I am reaching back with reverence, gathering what belongs to me, and carrying it forward with purpose.
