Your Story Matters
Sometimes the right words are written for you: "Humans live in landscapes of make believe. We spin fantasies. We devour novels, films, and plays. Even sporting events and criminal trials unfold as narratives. Yet the world of story has long remained an undiscovered and unmapped country. It's easy to say that humans are "wired" for story, but why?" - Jonathan Gottschall, The Storytelling Animal. Gottschall's quote is a perfect case for why stories matter." In Gottschall's book “The Storytelling Animal,” he takes a scenic route through science, sociology, anthropology, the arts, and other disciplines, majoring on the geneses of human purposes for story. The all-encompassing presence of story has eternal and innumerable applications. Like air, which we use to breathe, blow up balloons, fill our car tires, and cool our homes, we use story to put our children to sleep, to write/sing songs, to teach human reproduction, and to sell products. Whether it's a story someone told us, a story we told someone else, or a story we told ourselves, story is always with us, everywhere. Like air.

Find Your Story
Find Your Story: You quite possibly could be the only person, if not the best person, to tell your story. In Esther 4:14, Mordecai sends word to Esther, warning her that she will not escape death if the decree that was issued to kill all her brethren is followed. “If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” - Esther 4:14 (NLT) Your story, in whatever form it takes, is waiting on you to tell it (write it). May be hard to imagine, but untold lives may depend on the telling. The timing for your unique narrative may be the exact story that someone in your neighborhood, someone across the ocean, or someone not even born yet will use to save their lives. Since God knows the end from the beginning, maybe He’s the reason you can’t seem to let your story go. It might even feel like something or someone won’t let you let your story go. Now what? Let’s find your story.
