Reflecting on Summer
This week, I thought it might be nice to pause and do something a little different. Rather than setting our intentions for the week ahead, I thought it might be nice to look back. I sent these questions for reflection to my email list today, so they may look familiar. But here, we have the opportunity to share our thoughts (if you'd like) before we move into what many might consider the beginning of a new season. 𝗜 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆. Here are a few questions I'm thinking about before the new season is fully upon us. What moments stand out when you look back on summer? What simple pleasures or small experiences made this summer feel meaningful? What has this summer revealed about what joy looks like for you right now? Was there anything you felt yourself returning to this season? What small piece of summer would you like to carry with you into the season ahead? If you have something you'd like to say about one or more of these questions, or would even like to share a question that you have been returning to, I hope you will comment below. :)

🌿 Along the Way: Everyday Beauty, A Small Spark, A Tiny Win
Let's celebrate things that are beautiful: moments that brought a smile, something you did that you're proud of, or anything else you've encountered "along the way" this week or even this summer. A photo from earlier this summer Sometimes the light hits right and I get lucky with a different kind of shot (for me). :)

I'd love to hear about your experience during this time of transition in nature: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣? It might be something in the natural world, something about yourself, or a feeling you just can't quite name yet. The video below is not Oscar-worthy, but the goldfinches collecting their harvest of seeds from my coneflowers is definitely a sight I look forward to each year. I enjoyed watching this female perched on the coneflower stem and enjoying her feast for quite some time. They are shy, so I dare not move to exit my porch! (Note: The video does take a moment to load.) P.S. The question above was shared in an email to my list this morning. If you do not receive my emails, I hope you will consider joining the list. If you visit the link here , you will also receive a small nature photo and quote creation from me. :D

📖 What are you reading?
In addition to getting outside and noticing what I see, I love reading the thoughts and observations of life from others. And sometimes, I enjoy falling into a fictional world for an hour or two . . . Or a whole lot longer. I know there are other readers out there who love their time spent with a good book. No matter the genre or topic, I’d love to have a place to share what we are reading and the worlds we are falling into. I hope you will post and share your reading adventures in the comments here. Depending on how busy this spot becomes, I will build a regular spot to share accordingly!
🌱Mindful Mondays: Lessons from Summer
Though summer is still very much with us in nature, for many, this time of year begins the transition into more routine days and growing demands on our time. With this in mind, what is a summertime feeling or lesson you would like to intentionally carry with you in the weeks to come?
