Practice and what I learned!!
What a fun morning I have had!! My PaperWrld order arrived a few days ago and I couldn't wait to use my new stamps!!! I also spent time using the furnace and spoon method which went way better today. Here are the things I am learning along the way: 1) The PaperWrld stamps are incredible quality and a fantastic price point. There is a considerable difference in the impression and final result. The bunny stamp is absolutely adorable and my new fave. 2) I tried using ice today and it ended up being too messy as the ice was melting in the bowl. A damp paper towel is sufficient for the seals I was creating today. 3) The furnace/spoon method was excellent to create my own color combinations and create a consistent result. 4) I think I really do enjoy the furnace method but I am using a lower quality product. I am going to purchase a furnace and spoon from PaperWrld to compare quality/experience. 5) My glue gun is too hot....it was cheap and has gotten me started on this incredible creative journey but it's time to upgrade and find a better quality/ low temp gun. 6) I am also going to buy an electric warmer for spoons and give that a try. 7) Whenever I had a seal I didn't like, I just melted it and tried again. Here are questions I have for the group: *How do you keep your spoon clean while in use? *Where do you place the spoon after pouring the wax....the empty spoon gets way too hot? How do you clean everything when finished? I hope you enjoy my end results and I eagerly welcome your comments and suggestions.
