i used to think my main job was to get more leads.
So I kept building.
More lead magnets.
More funnels.
More posts.
More pages.
More ways for people to come into my world.
And people did come in.
They downloaded the thing.
They joined the list.
They raised their hand.
They showed interest.
But here is where I was messing up…
After they got the first email sequence, I was not talking to them enough.
I was so focused on getting new leads that I was not serving the leads I already had.
That was a hard lesson.
Because those were not just email addresses.
Those were real people who came to me because they wanted help.
When I finally started reaching back out with simple emails like:
“Are you still trying to grow your business?”
“What are you working on right now?”
“How can I help you?”
People started replying.
Old leads woke up.
Conversations restarted.
Opportunities came back.
That is when I realized:
The lead did not die.
The follow-up did.
So if you are collecting leads, do not make the mistake I made.
Do not only focus on getting more people in the door.
Serve the people who already walked in.

But we still have to care enough to follow up.
