🌿 When the Backpack Becomes Too Heavy
We spoke about the mental backpack we carry.
The worries.
The regrets.
The unfinished conversations.
The expectations.
Which made me wonder…
If the backpack is making life heavier…
why don’t we simply empty it?
Perhaps because after carrying it for so long…
the weight begins to feel normal.
We stop noticing it.
We assume life is just meant to feel this heavy.
But maybe that’s not true.
Maybe we’ve simply forgotten what it feels like to travel light.
The important thing to remember is this:
You don’t always get to choose what life puts into your backpack.
Loss.
Disappointment.
Uncertainty.
Unexpected change.
Life places things into all of our backpacks.
But you can choose what you keep carrying.
The replay of the argument.
The guilt.
The resentment.
The worry about something that hasn’t happened.
Those are choices we often make without realizing.
🎯 Today: Pause and ask yourself:
“What have I been carrying long after it stopped serving me?”
Then imagine taking just one thing out of your backpack.
You don’t have to empty it all today.
Just make it a little lighter.
🌿
Life will add weight from time to time.
Presence begins when we stop carrying more than we need. ⚡
