There is nothing in this world more hurtful than your own thoughts.
Think about that for a moment.
Something happens once.
But the mind can make you experience it a hundred times.
It remembers.
It replays.
It predicts.
It imagines.
It creates conversations that never happened and futures that may never arrive.
And while all of this is happening in the mind…
NOW may actually be perfectly okay.
That is why we practice returning.
Not because thoughts are bad.
Not because we need to stop thinking.
But because we need to recognise when our own thoughts are hurting us more than what is actually happening.
So here’s your friendly reminder today:
Pause.
Look around.
Take one breath.
And ask:
“What is actually happening right NOW?”
Not what happened.
Not what might happen.
What is happening NOW?
🌿 Come back to what is real. Come back to NOW. ⚡
