Staycation / accountability
Hi, y'all.
Hat tip to for accountability buddy greatness. It's a long weekend in BC, Canada and as such, my business work has come to a complete halt until, realistically, next Wednesday. As an autist, I hate it when this happens because it means there is another disruption to my beautifully curated calendar and potential furthering of opportunities which are like plates spinning in the air. One of my biggest challenges as an entrepreneur is to embrace the damn holidays and do something (several things?) that I would enjoy rather than just work "extra" or what I "have to do." Plus, let's be honest, I've been working my behind off in recent weeks.
So... I am hereby declaring that I have fulfilled all of my obligations for the week and am taking a staycation. In said staycation, I'm going to eff off and rest a lot, but the accountability piece is this: Jenine needs to make some damn art! So, there you have it. You now know that I sometimes (often) drag my feet on creative things that don't make money and that is my big "to-do" for the long weekend. I pledge to get off my butt and make some stuff, make a mess, get into the flow of my creative process with my hands and paper and paint and sewing machine.
I'll post on Tuesday to show you some things I have made. (See how I put myself on notice there?! Yeah, I appreciate you!) Feel free to pledge and post here or not. Either way, hugs and kittens from Nelson, BC, Canada. ❤️ Jenine
