The Silent Struggle of Halal Entrepreneurship No One Talks About
Assalamu Alaikum everyone, I’ve been thinking about something many of us here can relate to trying to build something meaningful in the dunya without letting it pull our hearts away from the Akhirah. A while ago, I spoke with a brother who was trying to start an online business. He told me something that hit home: I want to earn halal, I want to build something stable…but every time I start, I feel like I’m losing myself in the hustle. He’d wake up excited about a new idea, spend hours researching, only to end the day wondering if he was working for Allah or just chasing numbers. And honestly a lot of us are in that exact place. Trying to balance making a living and keeping our intentions clean. Trying to take steps toward income without being swallowed by the pressure of “grind culture.” Trying to build something online but not knowing where to start or who to trust. So let me ask you and feel free to share openly: What’s the biggest challenge you’re facing right now in building a halal, purpose-driven income? Is it the fear of starting? Finding the right business path? Staying consistent? Or not knowing which skills to focus on? Your answer might be the same struggle someone else here is too shy to admit. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. May Allah put barakah in all our efforts.
