I've been thinking about this a lot lately. As I'm changing, so is my relationship to magick. As we begin to know ourselves differently we experience everything with a new shine. Please share below what magick looks like in your life right now...

Trying to get a beat on what to talk about, and get folks showing up and engaging.

The sun, moon, mercury, and Jupiter are all in Leo tomorrow for this beautiful new moon eclipse of the sun! Ordinarily, a new moon is the time to plant seeds for who we want to become, what we want to create, and the eclipse just intensifies that beauty and power! So, if you'd like some journalling prompt: - Who am I becoming, and what does she already believe about herself? - What would I need to release in order to hold the life I'm asking for? - What seeds what I like to plant specifically to grow either within myself or in my life? On new moons I like to write down on a little slips of paper what seeds I would like to plant in my life, and then I literally bury that paper in the Earth. Like a seed. We are ever growing and changing beings. We are allowed to grow, and let go of parts of ourselves that no longer serve us. The moon cycles are great times to stop and reflect. To ask ourselves some of these questions, we may otherwise avoid. I definitely feel like I'm ready to let go of all need for approval from other people. I am now here to serve myself, and my higher purpose. I no longer subscribe to the ideas that we need to be something other than our authentic selves in order to be accepted. My soul needs boundaries, and the courage to set them. Please share below some of your observations of things you feel you're outgrowing. Let's get these conversations going!

So tomorrow is August eighth (08/08) and it's said to be the Lion's Gate Portal zenith. What does that all mean? And how do the stars know it's 08/08 on the Jesuit calendar tomorrow? Great questions! To put it simply it's an astrological event that happens every year around this time. It's the alignment of the Earth, the sun in Leo, and the placement of the brightest star in the sky Sirius. It usually starts in the last week of July or so, and goes just past August 8th. It's said to be a wonderful time to let go of things we are not, and manifest things we are, into our lives. And because of the date being a double 8 (double infinity) if you follow numerology, it's an event of power, abundance, high potential, and infinite possibilities. When it comes to what it means, and the date it happens, I think those two things are less important than us as magical practitioners taking the time to focus on what we are happy with, and unhappy with in our lives, and make conscious plans to change them. Anytime we do that, it's a powerful manifesting time. So, at some point in the next couple of days, sit down and ask yourself what parts of your life are you continuing out of habit? What parts of your life are not really you anymore but you repeat them because it's easy and familiar? And what do you want to create? What would you like to add to your life? Even if it's just joy, laughter, love, kindness, it doesn't have to be huge, financial or career goals. You'd be surprised how magickal a little bit of focussed journalling can be!
