Over the past year, I’ve been building and training an AI-powered turf assistant—not with generic internet answers, but through real conversations about grass, soils, irrigation, plant health, weather, products, and everyday troubleshooting. The goal is simple: Help homeowners understand what their lawn is actually telling them. Yellow grass doesn’t automatically need fertilizer. Wilting doesn’t always mean more water. And the problem you can see is often only a symptom of something deeper. Healthy turf is a complete system: 🌱 The plant 💧 Water and irrigation 🪨 Soil and drainage ☀️ Light and weather 🦠 Biology ✂️ Maintenance That’s why I created Lawn Hub—a place where practical turf experience and AI-assisted problem-solving come together. Members will be able to share photos, explain what they’re seeing, ask questions, and learn how to diagnose the cause—not just treat the symptom. A struggling lawn doesn’t always need another product. Grass depends on an interconnected system of light, water, air, soil biology, roots and mowing. If one part becomes limiting—compacted soil, shallow watering, excessive mowing or poor light—the entire plant responds. Before treating the symptom, ask: Which part of the system is preventing the grass from functioning properly? That is how we move from guessing to understanding

I’ve loved grass for as long as I can remember. I’ve built my career managing turf at a high level, but what I enjoy just as much as growing great grass is understanding why it grows the way it does — and helping other people understand it too. That’s why I started The Lawn Lab. There’s an incredible amount of information about lawn care online, but it can quickly become confusing. Different products, fertilizer schedules, watering advice, YouTube opinions — and often nobody explains what the grass actually needs or why. I want this community to be different.
