Hey folks! I haven't been super active in here lately, but we will be soon. Jo Light and I shot a short film this weekend and will be posting some BTS from it soon. Also, what are some things needed right now in your filmmaking journey?- so I/we can start dropping some resources here. Things on my mind: - mini course over lighting and cinematography ( I will make) - Sign up for Spell Slate if you haven't already for your scripting and production needs. (scheduling etc) - Writing help? (Ask @Jo Light ) - Sound help (recruiting some sound friends now - Chris Anderson should be joining) - VFX (reach out to @Ryan Scott ) - Special Effects ( @Nathan Bright ) Discount codes: FRAMESET.APP - “DPMINDSET10” SPELL SLATE SQUARESPACE Either way, let me know what you are currently needing and I will put it on the list! Cheers, Spenser

Hello everyone, my name is Craig. I'm very new at this but I can up with an idea and put it on paper. So what's the next step? My favorite movie is Tombstone.
Shoutout to Spenser Sakurai!
Heyo! Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Spenser Sakurai! My newest horror proof of concept/short film picked up "Best Horror" at The 2026 Tonkawa Film Festival (now a Top 100 Best Reviewed Fest on Filmfreeway) this weekend, and Spenser was the Cinematographer and also the Colorist on it. There were so many amazing films from Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Austria, The Netherlands, Australia, Oklahoma, etc. At our screening and the after party, we had a ton of comments about how the story, performances, and the cinematography all really made such a very beautiful but haunting film. I learned so much from working with Spenser and wanted to give a big shoutout to him! I'm excited to see where else this film goes.
Shoutout to Spenser Sakurai!
I'm Cassius from the UK
Hi community of fellow filmmakers. My name is Cassius and Im a filmmaker | Mobile cinematographer - been working as a freelance filmmaker for 25 years now across documentary, commercials, music videos and drama. In 2014 I changed my path in life and began exploring stories using mobiles. 12 years later Im still using mobile phones to shoot various productions with and recently completed a pilot episode, commissioned by Nickelodeon of a new kids drama series. All shot using iPhones. I appreciate the tool I use isn't for everyone, and some people can give me a bit of hard time on my social media platforms - but creatively I enjoy what I do and the challenges it brings. Thanks
