📚 Founding Members: Help Me Build This
Firstly, thank you for being here. The Indie Author Hub is still in its early stages and you are officially the first founding members. Over the next few weeks I’ll be recording lessons, building resources and creating the training library. My goal is to create the most practical and helpful place possible for indie authors. I’d love your help. 👉 What part of the publishing journey do you most want help with? 👉 What do you find most confusing, frustrating or overwhelming? 👉 What would save you the most time? Whether it’s cover design, publishing platforms, websites, mailing lists, ARC teams, marketing, audiobooks or something else entirely, please let me know below. Your feedback will directly shape the content I create. Thank you for being part of this from the very beginning. ❤️

Authors, let me ask you something
Are you building a book or building an author career? Because finishing the manuscript is only one part of the journey. What happens after you type “The End” can determine whether your work gets noticed or gets buried. I’ve learned that the serious author doesn’t just write. They position, prepare, and execute. Where are you putting your energy right now: writing, publishing, or visibility? 👇
YOUR BOOK MAY NOT BE THE PROBLEM. YOUR VISIBILITY MIGHT BE.
Let’s have an honest conversation, authors. You wrote the book. You edited it. You designed the cover. You published it. You probably told a few friends about it. And then… Silence. A few sales. Maybe a handful of reviews. Little engagement. No one seems to be talking about your book. So you start asking yourself: “Is my book not good enough?” “Am I doing something wrong?” “Why are other authors getting attention while I’m struggling to get noticed?” Here’s something many authors need to hear: Publishing a book and building an audience for that book are two completely different jobs. You can have an incredible story sitting on Amazon and still have almost nobody discover it. And that doesn't automatically mean the book is bad. Sometimes the problem is simply that the right readers haven't encountered it yet. Think about it: A bookstore can have thousands of books on its shelves. Being on the shelf is not the same as being picked up. And being picked up is not the same as being read. And being read is not the same as being recommended. That is why authors need to think beyond: “I published my book.” The better question is: “What am I doing to consistently put my book in front of the right readers?” This is where many average authors get stuck. Not because they lack talent. Not because they lack stories. But because they underestimate the importance of visibility, relationships, reader engagement, positioning, and consistent promotion. And here's the part I really want struggling authors to understand: You don't need to become famous overnight. You need to become discoverable. One reader can become two. Two can become ten. Ten can become fifty. Fifty engaged readers can create conversations. Conversations can create recommendations. Recommendations can create momentum. And momentum can change the trajectory of a book. So if your book isn't moving the way you hoped it would, don't immediately throw the book away. Step back. Look at the strategy. Ask yourself:
