- Lincoln elected to Congress in 1846.
- Kennedy elected to Congress in 1946.➝ Exactly 100 years apart.
2. Elected to the Presidency
- Lincoln elected President in 1860.
- Kennedy elected President in 1960.➝ Again, 100 years apart.
3. Civil Rights
- Lincoln fought to end slavery.
- Kennedy fought for civil rights.➝ Both were champions of freedom in their own eras.
4. Assassinations
- Both were assassinated on a Friday.
- Both were shot in the head.
- Lincoln was killed in Ford’s Theatre.
- Kennedy was killed in a Lincoln … made by Ford.➝ Same names. Same themes. Opposite order.
5. The Assassins
