“Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving,” Steve Maraboli reminds us, “We get stronger and more resilient.” Whether we're talking about relationships, growing older, living with grief, learning a new skill, recovery from addiction, healing from physical ailments... it's all about cultivating greater resilience and a strength that comes from that place within us that connects us to Source Itself. It saddens me to see so many self-proclaimed "progressive" clergy continue to pretend that the Christian bible is an historical text. The esoteric message in the narrative of Rabbi Jesus' death and resurrection is the initiatory journey of the human soul: the crucifixion symbolises the death of the ego (false self) and material attachment, while the resurrection represents the awakening of the Christ consciousness (True Self), revealing that eternal life and oneness with Source are realised here and now. That's the path to wholeness and resilience. And it has nothing to do with the guilt, manipulation, superstition and primitive machinations of religion. And it never was.
