Sample Resume
Here's what I've been working on these last few weeks. While most resumes I see during the role screening each bring their strength or uniqueness, I also find that there is often things that will quickly turn me off:
Tell me your story: Your experience matters, and I want to know where you are coming from, what drives you, and why I should hire you over the guy who has more hours or comes with a type rating.
Large tables full of hours, down to the nitty gritty. The truth: I want to see a few things only, and the mix of the below will tell me more than enough. I honestly don't read "cross crountry" time.
  1. What kind of real world experience do you have?
  2. Do you have multi engine time?
  3. Do you have JET time?
  4. Do you have COMMAND time?
  5. What else do you have in your toolbelt aside from time at the yoke?
Your experience:Please don't make me scroll all the way down to see where you are working NOW. Recent at the top, oldest at the bottom!
Finally, how do you keep yourself growing professionally? What is your education, or how do you continue to learn?
That's really it! :)
