Or putting peanut butter on toast when he specifically asked for jam and accidentally triggering the next nuclear meltdown. And don’t even get me started on navigating the floorboards when you’re trying to escape a bedroom at 2am. Building a business with three young kids is a very different game to building one before kids. Some days you’re on a roll. Other days, your best-laid plans are out the window before lunchtime. I’ve spent over 12 years building businesses online and my ambition hasn’t disappeared. If anything, I’ve got bigger reasons than ever. But my priorities have evolved. I’m learning that you don’t need to work every waking hour to make progress. But you do need to be intentional with the hours you do have, it can absolutely happen in the stolen moments. The fire to build has never been stronger and after more than a decade of building global organisations, leading teams and helping thousands of people, I’m nowhere near done. We’re expanding, developing new leaders and creating opportunities for more people to build real wealth and freedom for their families. But I also want to be present for the moments that matter most. And I’ll be the first to admit, I haven’t got this whole balancing act figured out. Some days it’s a bloody juggle. But I don’t want to look back one day and realise I was so busy building a future for my family that I missed the best years of their lives.
