My mother recently passed. I have learned a lot from her, and from her life's experiences. I'm still pondering that aspect, but as I ponder that consciously, I noticed feeling an intangible void. It took me about a week after her passing to figure out what I was sensing / feeling. The best way I can put it into words is that my mom was the only one in the material world that I had literally lived inside, and that feeling persisted ... until after her death, with her aura always feeling like my space of refuge and safety. It was warm, welcoming, and secure - no matter what our minds thought of each other, or whatever mental or emotional drama that played out. I was fortunate, generally speaking, we never had deep troubles between us. Another thing - a few days before she passed, as her body began the process of detaching from her spirit, I developed physical symptoms along a specific meridian that coincided with the physical problems that she experienced before her death. In my experience, I feel that her symptoms worked their way through my body and my consciousness. I was in physical pain, off and on, until she was buried. We are truly connected, living within an energetic web, a loving energy field wherein all that happens is an expression of cosmic love, support, and abundance.
