It’s Friday. The world is shifting into the weekend, frantically chasing the sun. Everyone is excited for "play."
But where does play actually begin? Where do YOU actually begin?
The Sequence
To understand why this hits, you have to walk the path in the exact order it grows. Do not skip the dark just to get to the glare. Watch them in sequence:
- The Shadow:
- The Light:
The questions.
Why do so many who only chase the light fizzle out over a seemingly short period of time?
Because they’re like big-box store plants—forced to look lush and "fluffy" on the shelf, but their root-to-shoot ratio is completely broken. Their presentation is brilliant, but the moment they hit the actual soil of reality, they wither. They have no anchor. Nothing worth having comes fast or easy.
You cannot sustain a beautiful canopy without an equally massive, unseen root system navigating the heavy, quiet dark underneath.
True, curious play isn't a cosmetic weekend escape. It is a seed in the dark. It’s that raw, unconditioned childhood instinct that notices an anomaly in the woods and follows it without the minds permission... often in spite of it's warning!
If you want to interact with true play again, you have to remember how to inhabit the roots—not just decorate the leaves.
